Prospective Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Cadets,
Congratulations. By seeking out this website you have identified yourself as someone who is looking for a challenge. If you have the spirit of adventure, the desire to serve or an interest in flying, then CAP may be for you.
We are an aviation-minded organization comprised of adult volunteers and cadets ages 12 to 18. As the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force our missions are: emergency services, which include air and ground search and rescue; aerospace education, such as rocketry and flying; and cadet leadership programs for teenagers.
As a CAP cadet you will be challenged to assume greater responsibilities and leadership roles as you advance in rank. You will learn to lead, as well as follow, and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish. In addition, you will earn the privilege of wearing the distinctive CAP uniform with pride and precision.
Yes, CAP has high expectations of our members—but that is what drives our team towards excellence. If you want to reach deeper, go farther and become a lifelong student of leadership, then take the next step.
Visit our national website at www.gocivilairpatrol.com, then contact me at the e-mail address, below. I will answer your questions and make arrangements for you to visit one of our Monday night meetings.
Sincerely, Mark Cambio, 1st Lt, CAP Squadron Commander, TX409 TX409@ymail.com
